Today I just thought that to complementthose several post about Japanese Friendship Dolls (Momiji Doll) it might be be better to explore Japanese etiquette in regards to gift giving.

In Japanese culture the presentation of gifts is a meanifingful ritual. Gifts need not be expensive but at the same should  be of high quality . Chocolates or small cakes are a good choice. There are other items that should be avoided such as white flowers as they are associated with funerals.

Gifts should be wrapped in pastel-coloured paper.  When the present is ready it should be given to the recipient using both hands and similarly when receiving a gift that one is given. In Japanese culture the act of giving is more important than the gift itself.

In terms of  other gift recommendations Momiji Dolls are also ideal due to their size. Something with a closer connection to home such as the Foxford  100% pure wool throws make perfect gifts.
